About Aaryamba

Welcome to Aaryamba, an organization that is committed to promoting the principles of sustainability in a unique way.

  • As part of our commitment to sustainability, we focus on the practice of Pūjā, a sacred ritual in our cultures.

We believe that the first flower we see every morning during Pūjā represents not only what we are offering for that day, but also what we have offered in the past (Nirmalyam).

  • Disposing of the pure Nirmalyam in a scripturally-prescribed way is our main motive, and we have developed innovative and organic methods to recycle all the Pūjā flowers we receive.

Our aim is to promote the idea that traditional practices can be sustainable, and that it is possible to preserve the traditions while also protecting the environment.

At Aaryamba, we believe that by practicing sustainability in our daily lives, we can create a better future for generations to come.

In addition to our activities focused on Pūjā and sustainable living practices, we also have a deep commitment to the preservation of Hindu temples and the welfare of cows.

Cow dung cakes in

Homam

In Hinduism, homa or havan is a sacred ritual of offering prayers and oblations into a fire to seek the blessings of the deities.

Traditionally, firewood has been the primary fuel used for performing homa. However, cow dung cakes are also commonly used as an alternative fuel in some parts of India.

There are several reasons why cow dung cakes are considered better for performing homa than wood:

  • Purification: Cow dung is believed to have purifying properties, and burning cow dung cakes is believed to purify the environment and create a positive aura. The smoke produced from burning cow dung cakes is also believed to have disinfectant properties that can purify the air.
  • Environmental benefits: Using cow dung cakes as fuel for homa is more sustainable and eco-friendly than using wood. Burning wood contributes to deforestation and air pollution, while using cow dung cakes promotes the use of a renewable resource that is abundantly available.
  • Spiritual significance: Cow is considered a sacred animal in Hinduism, and using cow dung cakes as fuel for homa is seen as a way of honoring the cow and seeking blessings from the divine. It is also believed that using cow dung cakes in homa can enhance the spiritual benefits of the ritual.

Importance of

Our Temples

We believe that Hindu temples play a vital role in the spiritual and cultural fabric of our society. Therefore, we work towards the development and restoration of old and abandoned temples that have lost their shine. We take over these temples and perform Homam, a sacred fire ritual, to attract more devotees and revive the spiritual energy of the place.

Importance of

Divine Cows

As part of our commitment to the welfare of cows, we use cow dung cakes for performing Homam and other activities.

We understand the importance of cows in Hinduism and are dedicated to promoting their protection.

We also recognize the challenges faced by farmers who own old cows, which are often at risk of being slaughtered.

Therefore, we collaborate with these farmers to create sustainable solutions, such as producing cow dung cakes on-site, right where the cow is located, so that they don't have to be taken to a go shala.

Our goal is to promote the values of non-violence and sustainability through our work. By focusing on the preservation of Hindu temples, the welfare of cows, and sustainable living practices, we believe that we can create a more equitable and harmonious world for all.
